The English-Italian dictionary has received some minor typographical corrections and improvements based on user feedback.
Changes to the iPad Version
The screen layout has been improved for the iPad. In portrait mode a more compact layout has been used for the main screen to allow the learning status home screen to be displayed alongside the topics screen. In addition a small indicator shows the currently selected learning target (English – Italian or Italian – English).
A number of minor improvements and bug fixes are also included in this release:
- A fabric texture has been used for the background.
- A bug that caused the iPad version to launch in portrait mode and then rotate to landscape has been fixed.
- The card style preference is synchronised between different iOS devices (iPhone, iPad or iPod touch) if the user is logged into iCloud.
This release has been tested with iOS 5.01 on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad devices. A minimum version of iOS 3.1 is required though it is recommended to upgrade to the latest version of iOS that your device supports. Support for the older iOS versions may be dropped in future updates. Some features such as multi-tasking, printing and local notifications require iOS 4.x or later. The compact iPad portrait screen layout is only supported with iOS 5.
As always you can send feedback directly from within the app using the “Send Feedback” option in the Help section of the Settings screen. Alternatively send your comments, suggestions and corrections to firstname.lastname@example.org.
